back in the '80s i had a friend who was heading up the advertising section
at a local radio station. he told me an interesting story about how he got
interested in joni's music.
apparently one of his clients was listening to WTRF while thoroughly stoned
on acid. when "love" came on, he reckons the room filled with light, and an
amazing, comforting, warmth came over him.
since my friend was a christian, & very involved with the church at that
time, the client came to him to find out if he had any idea what had
happened etc. my friend then came to me to find out more about joni, &
became quite interested in her music - quite a change from his normal
rock/pop which he was listening to up till then.
