I'm sorry to hear you have come to this conclusion so quickly. Have you
read through the entire license text? There is a clause covering a shifting
number of workstations needed:

17.2 Partial Ordinary Termination

The Customer shall be entitled to terminate the Agreement for a part of the
Workstations at the end of each Subscription Period by observing a notice
period of three (3) months. [...]


Would this respond to your needs? Of course you don't have to pay for 10
licenses if you don't need them 90% of the time.

In addition to that, compared to other vendors who sell developer licenses,
jOOQ's developer workstation license is not tied to the actual person
working on the team. This provides you with even more flexibility when
working with jOOQ.
As I've mentioned before in this thread, I'm open to constructive
