It is a good idea to create a forum. But it is not a good idea to close the
JQuery mailing lists.
Spammed or not, some of the users might prefer to continue to use the
mailing lists, and not the forum, which is hard accessible for some users.
If the lists will get too much spam, and the users don't use an email
provider that takes care of that spam from their mailboxes, any user is free
to unsubscribe from the lists and use only the forum.
But maybe some of the users might want to use them both, or only the mailing
lists, so why killing the mailing lists?
