Hi All,
Has anyone had the problem where JRun 3.0 (the default server in particular)
crashes because the port used by the default server's control is in use by
another service or process? Now, has anyone had the problem where they've
discovered that supposedly no other service or process is using that
particular port?!! What happens is that our JRun server (default) is running
smoothly and all when, later, JRun is passed a servlet request and then
comes back and aborts because the control port (e.g. 50001) used by JRun is
in use by another process or service. (this causes a
javax.servlet.ServletException error on the client side). As far as we know,
there is no other JRun server or non-JRun server process using the port.
We've tried switching the control port to say 50002, only to find a couple
days later that the problem has "followed" us over to that port!
We're using JRun 3.0 on a Sparc-Solaris 2.7 platform in conjunction w/
Netscape's i-Planet 4.0.
Any tips, insight, heavenly enlightenment, etc, would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Lee
