chart options for Java servlets/applets

We would like to be able to pull out data from our database and present it as a chart 
via the web.   I searched JRun-Talk and saw a similar question and the answer was to 
use KavaChart.  My question is:  has anyone used KavaChart, and if so what is your 
impression of it?  Does anyone have experience using KavaChart vs. Crystal Reports?  
If someone has used Crystal Reports, how do they mesh with servlets and applets?
