Amit, First, since I've never done an installation of JRUN on one box and IIS on a different box, I couldn't advise you on how to set up JRUN to do this. I did see an response earlier that refers to Chapter 4 of the JRUN setup manual for distributed installation. Perhaps going through the manual might help, but I've gathered that English is not your native language. If your English reading comprehension skills are such that it would be very difficult and time consuming to try and glean what you need from the manuals, you may want to contact Allaire tech support and see if they will assist you.
I did note one thing in your email below. You state that you want to separate the web server from the application server for security reasons. JRUN is a web server, and we have had no issues putting JRUN and IIS onto the same box. Our firewall is BEFORE our box that contains the JRUN/IIS software, so I am confused as to what security issues you think you are exposing yourself to by putting JRUN and IIS together on the same box. As long are your IIS/JRUN server is BEHIND your firewall, and you have a good firewall, then I don't see that you gain anything security wise by putting JRUN on a separate box from IIS. But perhaps I am missing something. One rule of thumb I have learned in this business, don't make your job harder than it has to be. I would suggest re-evaluating your need to have JRUN server and IIS on separate boxes. Also, if you are running a test/development server (as we are), you can install JRUN server on your test/development server without an additional license, as long as that test server is NOT publicly available. In other words, it's only available to your development group to develop and test code on, and to no one else. Good luck!
