> > Can't remember seeing any posts from you there. > Yes, I don't believe I posted once. I have been subscribed to the group for at least a year and ignoring the spam component it seemed that the responses people were getting were belittling the asker and not productive, not to say that was everyone, it seemed to come from a just a few people but it was a turn off to me.
If you interpret a post as being abusive, don't be afraid to mention > that, e.g. "hey that sounds insulting." Easier said than done; just > try not to get into the flames. I've gotten mails in the past like > "you're an asshole" when the person who wrote that was replying to my > criticism. > Agreed, I think criticism can be a very good as long as its intent is to help the other person. C.l.js isn't all bad. Try and make a good post or two there and make it > better! > Also agreed. I have heard great things about the list, a lot of you who are spear heading this list seem to have gotten your roots within c.l.js, that's why I joined in the first place, and perhaps I didn't give it a good enough go. I know most of you guys either on Twitter or elsewhere so it feels like a fresh start to me.
