One way to think about it is: how do the sighted folks go about
learning this stuff? Taking courses, going through a few books on
the subject and lots of experimentation come to mind. I know I
know, it's not that simple to compare, but I guess I'm just saying
you rarely get something for nothing.
If your goal is to sell your music, your services as a
professional, or some other transaction out in the world where
money is involved, then budget for some training when you look at
what your DAW will cost.
