Hi. What exactly do you mean. Midi is just binary data. Latency concerns are related to audio, input monitoring, soft synths, etc. The only thing to keep in mind is not to use a midi interface or audio/midi interface with a hub of some sort.
Audio latency issues can arise from not enough processor power, not enough ram, slower hd speeds, and other factors.
