Some company has done an ASP port to other platforms. But the fact that the "power" of
ASP comes from its integration with MTS and various other MS technologies makes it a
pointless contender IMHO. MTS, awful as it may be, is an important piece in the puzzle
for the MS web solution.

But I agree with the original poster on one thing: the 1.0 spec is way late and this
is unacceptable. Sun, pull your socks up and put the damned spec out!
