Several things with iPlanet 4.1...
1. Don't even think about running the administator in IE- use Netscape ;-)
2. You got to direct it to use a JDK rather than a JRE (Globals under admin
server)
3. Set up the classpath (under Servlets | Configure JVM) and make sure your
bean is on it- doesn't need to be in the servlet directory
4. There is a horrific bug in that the JSPs are never recompiled even if the
server is restarted- you need to stop the server, vape the cache, and
restart- this will do it for NT
net stop https-enbaw929
del d:\iPlanet\https-enbaw929\ClassCache\*.* /s /q
del d:\iPlanet\https-enbaw929\logs\*.* /s /q
net start https-enbaw929

Subject: Re: Answer Re: Q. How to config iPlanet 4.1 for Servlet-style
2.2 webapplications?
I am evaluating iPlanet 4.1. I have read through much documentation and
through the news groups but have not found the answer.
I keep getting a error of class not found for a bean I am referencing in a
JSP. Where or how do I need to setup the bean. Does the bean go in the
servlet directory ??? Am I suppose to add it to the list of servlets in the
Admin ???
Thanks,
Pedro
