Ok, let me guess then, I should be happy because only the 50% of the e-mails
I am receiving are non-JSP related. And I should have been unhappy if I were
receiving 100% non-JSP related e-mails from a JSP-related list!!!!????? You
are looding the point here. If I were to receive non-JSP e-mails I would
like to subscribe to a non-JSP mailing list. It is simple logic for some
people out there who do not understand. If I have Tomcat problems I will
subscribe to a Tomcat mailing list. If my main concern is WML I will
subscribe to a WML list, if my main concern is to find a Job I will buy a
newspaper or look at the proper web site. If I want to speak
Spanish/Greek/Chinese/(put your own language here) I will log on to an IRC
channel and I can do it. I am interested in JSP technology that's why I have
subscribed here.
I do not say no to questions that are close to JSP technology but there
are some completely irrelevant questions out there (for example: what is the
query in order to get all the results from a table in a database!!!!!!!!!).
The thing is that the list has become what it is because people, from the
beginning, were more "elastic" than they should have been.
Can you not understand that bright people and people who can help are
getting frustrated and leaving the list? My colleague (who personalyl I
believe is one of the best JSP programmers I have ever met) left the list
for this exactly reason!
With what you are doing you are not helping the list to become better. It
is getting worse and worse and, eventually, will loose its original pure-JSP
interest.
