I didn't get it either, and I don't use Gmail or other filtering.
Christopher, spam email headers are *always* forged, because spamming is illegal in many areas. If you have a public email that's posted on the web, your email address is probably being used for spam. I know mine is - about every month or so I get a deluge of bounces from email servers all around the world with a variety of different spam emails being rejected and the rejection messages coming back to me. I've set up mail filters to eliminate most of them. So don't take the supposed "from" address on an email seriously.
