Jody has offered to help if there is interest in prefecting/fixing the code that Edgar wrote for Coordinate Projection using the GeoTools library.
I'd take this on myself but I have already made a lot of other commitments. If we have any takers I will let Jody know. This sounds like a great opportunity to get projection support into OpenJUMP.
