There are some problems but I do not know if they are serious. For a
totally new users it takes some time to learn which operations are
available from the main menu and which ones from the context menu (and
that to get the context menu user must go over the layer name first). I
believe that when I start using a new software I am first going through
all the main menus and what can be found there.  It is more difficult to
go through all the context menus because it is hard to guess how many
different context menus exist and in which way they can be activated.
But we have allready operations which can be launched only through the
context menus like Save selected datasets, zoom to layer, Select layers
with selected items. Would you guess as a beginner that the latest comes
from context menu on top of the map window and not through main menu
Layer nor throuh layer list context help?
