well, i wouldn't say contradict but it's not usual convention, right. on the other hand i can't see the harm here. users accidentially doubleclicking on it or hovering over it will learn about it and can decide to use or ignore it. doubleclicking on titlebars by convention maximizes/normalizes windows at least on windows os so user can expect some functionality here. as maximizing makes no sense i argue hiding is a valid option. let's wait and see if users complain, because their everyday user experience suffers. i'll expect no such thing. regarding the icon i see your point stefan but can as well live with the old one. i've seen toolbox icons (tools in a box or wrench / hammer) for the floating toolbox panel in other software but michael is also right that it is often used for setting dialogs as well. ..ede ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
