Hi Harri,

   glad you like the browser!

I'm afraid it's not great at displaying very large numbers of objects at the same level - as far as I can figure out, this is a shortcoming of java swing. That said, we have improved things a bit in the more recent versions - are you using 3.1 final or one of the 3.2 betas? If not, you might like to try them.

You could try giving the java VM more memory and see if that makes a difference, but I suspect it won't change things much.

Hi there!

First, I'd like say thanks for the really nice ldap browser, JXplorer.
It has a lot of nice features and it works quite well.

But, there is one annoying thing, what prevents me to use JXplorer on
daily basis. It sure works nice and smoothly if the number of objects in ldap branch is low (eg. 1-1000), but it takes like ages to open a branch
with let's say, 12000 objects on same level (I've cancelled the
operation after 5 minutes). I have other ldap browsers which works fine
even with large amounts of objects, so problem is not in our server.

Is this known problem and is there any way to go around it?
I just like all the features in this ldap browser much and it would be
nice to use it seriously all the time.

Thanks in advance,

cheers,
Harri
