It sounds to me like you are getting exactly what you want, so obviously I am not understanding.

1. You want K9 Mail to only sync the last weeks mail.

You then say this appears to be working... good.

2. You then say that, in K9 Mail, all older mails are not being shown.

This is precisely what you said you *wanted* in #1 above, is it not? If so, then you don't have a problem.

You also said they were 'being deleted', then said 'they are still on the server. Obviously this means they are *not* being deleted.

I think the problem is you simply don't understand how IMAP works and how to use it.

With IMAP, ALL messages stay on the server at ALL times.

You then use IMAP capable CLIENTS to access your mail. You can configure each client differently...

For example, you can configure K9 Mail to only show you the last weeks mail (by default - pressing 'Load up to 25 more' at the bottom of the message list will show you more messages than you have configured to show by default.

Most Desktop clients are configured by default to show you ALL messages.

In order to use my email account on several systems besides K-9 Mail I

times short and the data volume low I would like to sync only the last week.

So far so good. Unfortunately all emails which are older than one week
are being deleted or at least not being shown in K-9 Mail. (They are
still on the server. If I set to download older emails, they are being
downloaded.)

Is there a way to sync only the mails being up to one week old and leave
the older ones as they are?

I hope you get my problem. Thanks in advance.
