I have also noticed that push isn't working. It worked prior to a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, in the last couple weeks a *lot* changed: 1) I switched servers to a new hosting company, 2) I updated Android to 4.2, and 3) I updated K9 to 4.8something. It was definitely working before, and it's definitely not working now.
I don't have a (Windows) PC, I don't have root, and I'm running Android 4.2, so I gather I'm out of luck with debugging. I did get some server logs and they show IMAP disconnects due to inactivity. That suggests to me it's a client end (K9) problem. Based on the existence of this thread, I gather I'm not the only person who has noticed this. Is there something I can do to be helpful? I could submit a bug report, but I'm afraid it won't be terribly informative (aside from what I've mentioned here). Should I do that anyway?
