Thanks Philip, however that is already the case. Both that and the "sync 
deletions" options are off. Anyway, it doesn't sound like they relate 
specifically to deleting email after fetching.

There is no specific option for "leave email on server", which is a 
standard option with all email clients I've seen on the desktop. Perhaps 
they overlooked that option, at least with POP accounts.
