On my S4 Active (AT&T) I'm using the stock email app for my @aim.com email address (which is an AOL address). I have *smtp.aim.com* with *SSL*, Port *465* and *Require Sign-in* checked. I just tried to send an email & it worked fine. So, either the difference is *aim* instead of *aol* or it's your carrier. Can't hurt for you to try using *smtp.aim.com* instead.
Another option would be to try the AOL app.... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aol.mobile.aolapp On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 8:43:05 AM UTC-5, Dave Oster wrote: > > I'm using a Samsung S3 and can receive email but cannot send emails. However, when attempting to send an email, I get an error msg > "Negative SMTP reply: 553 5.7.1".
