It's really hard to tell.  I was just pointing out that it could be
either.

I have no idea...


Another thing is to keep loading more messages (push the "load 100 more"
button) until you have all the messages in your inbox.   It could be
that as the message arrives it has a date/whatever that is causing it to
be oddly sorted relative to the the IMAP "get more" message function.
