I have a problem with the latest k-9 mail app trying to download mail on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S running Android 5. I am running the same version of k-9 on my Samsung Galaxy 5 phone also running Android 5 and don't have a problem there. On both devices I am using POP3 to access my mail accounts. I have about 10 mail accounts.
The problem is that on the tablet, it checks the accounts and downloads what is there for a few accounts and then it just hangs on one of the accounts. Each time it is a different account that it hangs on. The "check mail" spinning icon just spins and spins. If I don't force close k-9 it will spin for hours and hours. Just now I checked at about 9pm and it had been checking that account since 4am this morning. At the same time that the tablet is having this problem, my phone checks the same accounts and it works just fine. I also check the same accounts on my PC using Thunderbird and it has no problems. I have not had any system updates lately on my tablet. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing k-9, but that doesn't help. If I reboot my tablet after it hangs like this, it will work for awhile and it will check all accounts just fine, but eventually it will start hanging again. Any ideas on what might be wrong or what I can do to fix this? Thanks, Bill -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the K-9 Mail Users List.
