Sorry it took me so long to get back on this. I ran a lot of different tests to see if I could isolate the problem to a specific email account, but it really is a random problem. K-9 gets stuck on different email addresses each time. I'm not sure, but it seems like it is always one of my GoDaddy accounts, but most of my email accounts are there. Ive not seen it get stuck on any of my Comcast or Gmail accounts.
Then I uninstalled K-9 5.007 and installed K-9 5.006 which had been running just fine for me previously. I guess updating to K-9 5.007 wasn't the problem, because now K-9 5.006 has the same problem. I guess something else must have changed on my Samsung tablet. As you recall, my tablet is running Android 5.0.2. I'm not having the problem on my Samsung phone which is running Android 5.0. I tried using several other email programs (MailDroid and BlueMail) and neither of these exhibit the problem although they had other issues which make me really want to get K-9 working again. Is there something that K-9 is doing differently than other apps when fetching mail? Any ideas what I might try next?
