You aren't seeing the "3 [vertical] dots" (at the far right of the menu bar), or you're not seeing the "settings" option when you open that menu? How did you import the settings from your phone? I haven't installed K-9 fresh for so long that I may be forgetting something during the setup that lets you do the import. Once installed, when at the account level, the "settings import & export" option is under that (3-dot) menu, with "settings" right below it. At the message and message list levels other options are offered in that menu, with "settings" as the last one.
