If you have the patience to read this thread "K-9 does not synchronize
automatically, only manually" you will find someone called Mathguy who
never has a problem with push.

There is also someone called Dan who says he has made repeated postings
about a three step routine in Android that solves the problem.

I spent a week trying to get K-9 to work. I am not easily defeated and have
used K-9 for about four years.

In the end I did admit defeat and went to Aquamail. It was dead easy to
install. I have three Android devices and three different accounts on each.
Compared with K-9 it is a doddle.

And Aquamail has an active forum that is under constant support from users
and the developer (who has not gone off to do other things). Look at how
active this thread is !

Mathguy says he is tired of offering free support to the likes of me who,
in his words, can't be bothered to do their own research. Read what Dan
says and it make work for you. On my Samsung S8 it made not a jot of
difference.

Take your pick John.

Take it from me Aquamail does push on the S8 and with whatever breed of
Android it is using.

Tony
