Hello! I like the easy questions sometimes, though I'm
not so happy about the answer: Kaboodle is a Windows-only app
right now, as the MFC parts of the code haven't all been ported
into WxWindows, which would compile on *nix systems.
Once these parts of the source are ported, you'll be
able to do what you want without SAMBA. As far as I know, though,
the best means of doing what you're doing is....what you're doing
(ie, using SAMBA).
You may want to post a query to the SAMBA user list,
and see if they've any suggestions. Good luck!
