Hello! I like the easy questions sometimes, though I'm not so happy about the answer: Kaboodle is a Windows-only app right now, as the MFC parts of the code haven't all been ported into WxWindows, which would compile on *nix systems.
Noted with thanks
I don't have much problem in using Samba. However the complication is I have WinXP, Win98, Win2K and WinME clients connected to a LTSP server. To make them communicate with Samba different configurations have to apply, not only on the client side and also on the server. Another funny thing is the config of one WinME box differs from another WinME box to make them connecting the server. This I could not understand.Once these parts of the source are ported, you'll be able to do what you want without SAMBA. As far as I know, though, the best means of doing what you're doing is....what you're doing (ie, using SAMBA).
I made a heavy search and found "kaboodle". Unfortunately it can't cater my need for the time being. I have to wait.
Anyway lot of thanks for your advice.
Stephen
(I tried VNC and X-chat also not for my application)
