Question #201649 on KaliVeda changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/kaliveda/+question/201649
Peter Wigg posted a new comment: I think the hex display mode I have in vi converts 'newline' into <OA> but if I actually do a `hexdump` I find loads of <0A><0D>'s indicating that is was indeed in a DOS format. Also when I use grep I can locate carriage returns but not the combination \r\n, maybe a difference between grep versions? $ grep -Pl '\r' Grid_ChioSi_C4-9_R322-606.dat Grid_ChioSi_C4-9_R322-606.dat I have these files in another branch, and I've just checked those files and they ARE in the correct format. How on Earth did they end up as DOS format? I've been using Linux for 5 years now! -- You received this question notification because you are a member of KaliVeda Development Team, which is an answer contact for KaliVeda. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kaliveda-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kaliveda-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
