SUMMARY
My issue cropped up out of nowhere. I have not tinkered with settings related
to the notes widget, and highlighting, copying, and pasting proceeds normally
on any other application (e.g. wikipedia articles, terminal text)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Normal usage. The issue crops up when I click and drag, as I would for any
other text display
OBSERVED RESULT
No highlighting
No copying and pasting
