Crashing project file
SUMMARY
40 minute project with 1 video track and 4 audio tracks, most of it edited down
from a single 4 hour video, which was made in 25.08.3, crashes when opening
when "Building sequences" is at 50%. However, it loads when downgrading to
version 25.04.3, despite not being made in that version. After looking online
for similar crashes on the latest version, I found that downgrading the version
worked for a lot of people including bug report 511661, and it worked for me as
well, even though I didn't make the project in an older version.
A possible problem with the project is that a bunch of cut audio items have
individual effects (623) since this is my first time using the program, there
are also 2 audio tracks with effects. The effects are normalize, volume, and
noise suppressor for voice.
The project is attached but the files are not, one could probably replace them
with the same length of still black video and silence, I doubt the actual video
data is relevant. The first video is 2 minutes 7 seconds long (00:02:07:23)
with 1 audio track, the second video is 4 hours long (04:36:56:02) with 6 audio
tracks, but only the first 3 are used. There is also a 6 second audio capture
(00:00:06:15).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Download the project
2. Try opening it, maybe with the video/audio files substituted
3. Wait for it to load
OBSERVED RESULT
Crashes at "building sequences" at 50%
EXPECTED RESULT
Project loads, as it does on version 25.04.3
