--- Comment #18 from forestbeasts <[email protected]> --- We've also got a CRT monitor, and are currently stuck to X11 because of the lack of modelines. (Our Displayport to VGA adapter reports some kind of modelines, I'm not sure if it's made up from whole cloth or passed from the monitor, but either way it exposes a bad "max resolution" with the wrong aspect ratio (1280x1024), and we need a custom resolution and refresh rate (1280x960 at 70 Hz) to fix that. Not to mention being able to do fun stuff with lower resolutions and higher refresh rates for games!) And then you have stuff like interlacing, which'd be great for getting really high refresh rates on a lower-spec monitor. Whatever the solution ends up being, it'd be nice if it included support for specifying the full set of timings so you can do stuff like that. Interlacing is currently broken in the amdgpu driver last I checked, but it'd be really nice to have support for setting it in the Wayland session in case that ever gets fixed. -- Frost -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
