Since you're a developer, you've surely read the license referenced in the header of every file that says there's no warranty. Since you're not volunteering to help fix the issue or fund someone else to do so, I'm afraid all you can do is patiently wait for a developer who is volunteering their own time or paid by someone else to work on the issue. That's how everything in KDE has worked for 30 years.
