Following sleep (s2idle) of laptop while connected to dock/external monitor -
resume does not activate the laptop monitor.
No key combinations or further sleep/resume cycle will recover the monitor -
but plugging external monitor back in reactivates both panels.

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect external monitor
2. Enter sleep
3. Disconnect external monitor and open lid

OBSERVED RESULT
Not everytime - but there will be no output on laptop screen. Many messages
seen in /var/log/syslog

EXPECTED RESULT
Laptop monitor will power on
