The current split between tags & rating filter panes is especially painful for me. I've hacked something together that's IMO already a big improvement, see the attached screenshot. Tags, ratings, free-text search in a quick-search toolbar. Photo counts per tag displayed inline. Sync between toolbar and filter pane states. Wdyt?
