DESCRIPTION
Digikam after previewing a few grouped images of JPEG+NEF images.
Most of my albums consist of groups of 2 items: a JPEG file and a NEF file.
After downloading images, I group them using "Group by filename". I created
all of my albums using versions earlier than Digikam 9.0.0.
After upgrading to Digikam 9.0.0, when I preview a group by double-clicking a
thumbnail to open it, and then repeatedly use the right arrow to go to the next
group, after a few groups the application completely locks up. My window
manager (plasma-desktop) turns the window gray and adds ("Not responding") to
the window title. top shows the digikam process taking 100% of CPU.
When I tried this with an album with just JPEG images and no groups, this
worked just fine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create an album consisting of groups of 2 items, 1 JPEG image and 1 NEF
image.
2. Scan through a few groups by opening them in the preview tool and pressing
the right arrow key.
OBSERVED RESULT
The application locks up.
EXPECTED RESULT
Digikam quickly loads the next image.
