DESCRIPTION
Spectacle has two default settings that I think should be changed, to improve
the new user experience: After taking a screenshot > Save file to default
folder, and After taking a screenshot > Copy image to clipboard.
After taking a screenshot > Save file to default folder was unchecked by
default on my computer's KDE installation. I think it should be checked: I
believe that saving the file is a default that a user would expect. It is also
a _visible_ default: it's easier to notice that Spectacle is saving files than
to notice that it is not.
After taking a screenshot > Do not copy anything was also selected by default
on my computer's KDE installation. I think this should be Copy image to
clipboard by default, for a very similar reason to the prior: it's a visible
default, that the user will notice immediately, and go and change if they don't
want it.
I also likely suspect that saving screenshots / copying them to the clipboard
by default is the default on other operating systems like MacOS and Windows,
but I have not checked.
