            Bug ID: 524416
Summary: Secret spot to unlock with double click
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First master
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Screen locking
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

This should be optional of course, added by users who want it.

What I want is to be able to configure a small region in the lockscreen (on a
specific monitor), a little clickbox, maybe 100x100 pixels or so, that when
double clicked unlocks the screen.

This would be a secret shortcut users can have to quickly unlock the screen
without having to use the keyboard. Only the users would know where the spot
is, so they move their mouse there and double click to unlock.

This would be an alternative way to unlock. I think alternative ways to unlock
are important because the lockscreen can bug out and stop accepting the correct
password for some reason, or sometimes the users doesn't want to use the
keyboard for privacy reasons perhaps, also because this click method can be
faster and more comfortable, especially if the user locks the screen very often
throughout the day.
