--- Comment #2 from Will Wandemaker <[email protected]> ---

Hello Akseli,

I have one monitor and it’s connected via displayport to the NVIDIA RTX 4090.
Display resolution is 3840x1080@240 Hz, however it might have switched to 120
Hz. I am not really sure how you see multiple activities, but I do not use
multiple desktop or workspaces.

The fault manifests directly after login to KDE Plasma (Wayland) after a cold
boot. When moving the mouse cursor over an icon of a file on the desktop, the
icon does not show a reaction, nor does selecting it via dragging the mouse or
right clicking on it show a response. Right click empty space on the desktop
does not give reaction either. Only when I open the Panel Settings (right click
on the panel) and closing the panel settings, the desktop works as expected
again.

Instead of Wayland I do still have a KDE Plasma Xorg DE that I can log in to in
case Wayland was not working. However since Fedora 44, I have not had the need
for it and Wayland have been working fine so far.

To test the strange desktop behavior , I have logged in to KDE Plasma Xorg, and
there I did not experience the strange behavior. My daily driver is Fedora 44
KDE Plasma (Wayland) and maybe I should, but I have not uninstalled the Xorg DE
yet. I’m not convinced it does any harm, even though I live in Wayland
nowadays.

I saw the Plasma and Plamoid updates last night, but those have not resolved
the issue for me yet.

Thanks, and I hope I have answered your question…

Best regards,
Will Wandemaker
