Peek desktop, temporarily helps, but when not peeking, issues are back. Right clicking the panel and opening and closing "Show Panel Settings, fiixes the issues (also for panel auto hide and panel dodge windows mode) until the next reboot. SO I dove in deeper a little bit... I only had one panel sitting at the bottom. So I deleted the current panel and created a new default panel. After a reboot I had no right click or selecting issues on the desktop. Further testing revealed that when I have the panel set as "dodge windows" (my preference) or "hide", the reported issues with mouse interactions on the desktop were back. I don't know why or how, but somehow having the panel set as "auto hide" or "dodge windows" creates the issue (after next reboot). Hoping for a real fix, since I really like the panel in dodge windows mode.
