            Bug ID: 526080
Summary: Text Tool vector objects collapse to inline-size 0 and
render invisible on macOS Golden Gate (Krita 5.3.4)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: krita
      Version First 5.3.4
       Reported In:
          Platform: macOS (DMG)
                OS: macOS
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Tool/Text

  Target Milestone: ---

**Bug Title:** Text Tool vector objects collapse to inline-size 0 and render
invisible on macOS Golden Gate (Krita 5.3.4)

**Krita Version:** 5.3.4
**Operating System:** macOS 27 (Golden Gate)
**Hardware Architecture:** Apple Silicon (MacBook M5)

**Summary:**
There is a critical rendering and compatibility issue between Krita 5.3.4's new
on-canvas SVG text engine and the display drivers on the new macOS Golden Gate
running on Apple Silicon M5 hardware. When using the Text Tool, characters do
not render on the canvas at all. Checking the SVG source reveals that Krita
forces an 'inline-size: 0' property, which collapses the bounding box entirely,
leaving only a single white glyph/dot on the screen. Even when manually opening
the SVG source code and replacing it with clean preformatted SVG code (), or
converting the layer to a paint layer, the object remains completely empty and
transparent.

**Steps to Reproduce:**

1. Open Krita 5.3.4 on an Apple Silicon M5 Mac running macOS Golden Gate.
2. Create a new document using the standard sRGB profile (8-bit integer).
3. Select the Text Tool (T), click and drag a bounding box on the canvas.
4. Type any text (e.g., "Test").
5. The text does not appear. Only a single white glyph/dot is generated.
6. Selecting the shape with the Shape Selection Tool shows a red bounding box
completely collapsed around the glyph.
7. Open "Edit SVG Source" -> The code shows: style="inline-size: 0.0006...;
white-space: pre-wrap;"
8. Editing the code to remove inline-size and clicking "Save" does not fix the
issue.
9. Right-clicking the layer and selecting "Convert to Paint Layer" results in a
completely blank, empty raster layer.

**Actual Result:**
The text tool fails to calculate the bounding box geometry on macOS Golden Gate
with M5 chips, forcing an invisible/zero-width vector object that cannot be
rendered, scaled, or rasterized. Canvas Acceleration options are also
restricted (Renderer dropdown only shows OpenGL; the Metal option is
missing/unavailable on this system).

**Expected Result:**
The text should render on the canvas matching the typed characters, obeying the
bounding box dimensions drawn by the user, without collapsing to inline-size 0.
