Test script: same QML module loaded as source vs compiled (qrc)

I tried to find where the difference Sergio sees comes from. SelectionTool.qml
and
SelectionHandle.qml are byte-identical in v0.6.2.1 and v0.7.0 (same blob
hashes, nothing
under src/controls/ changed between the two tags), and neither of them uses a
C++ type
from the library. So the change is not in their source.

The attached script copies the installed module into a temporary directory and
runs a
minimal example against that copy (the one from comment 0, with a window title
added).
It has two modes, and the only difference between them is the prefer line in
qmldir:

* compiled: prefer kept, the QML comes from the copy compiled into the library
  (qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/kquickimageeditor/...), as in normal use
* source: prefer removed, the plain .qml files are loaded from disk

In compiled mode the handles are broken as described, and the session printed
130 loop
warnings (118 binding loops on "width" at SelectionHandle.qml:64, 9 anchor
loops at
SelectionTool.qml:260, 3 at SelectionTool.qml:123), all with qrc: paths. In
source mode
all eight handles work and there is not a single warning. The script adds one
console.warn line to the copied SelectionTool.qml, so the output shows which
variant
actually ran. The marker only appears in source mode.

So the same QML text works when it is loaded from disk and breaks in the
version
compiled into the library. That would fit both the reverted commits not helping
and
Sergio's older 0.6.2.1 build working. I have not found out which part of the
compilation
is responsible, or whether it depends on the Qt version the package was built
with.

Tested with kquickimageeditor6-imports 0.7.0.1 and Qt 6.11.2 on openSUSE
Tumbleweed.
