Screen recording of the issue happening
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use the default "Importance" sorting method
2. Join multiple rooms, preferably quite a lot
3. Wait until many rooms have unread messages
4. Click on the lowest room in the sidebar with unread messages
5. Click on the next-lowest room in the sidebar with unread messages
6. Keep doing it
OBSERVED RESULT
At multiple points in steps 4, 5, and 6, the room you just clicked on will move
to a position in the sidebar much lower than where it was before.
See attached screen recording.
EXPECTED RESULT
The room only moves below the last room with unread notifications, per the
description of what "Importance" means ("Rooms with unread notifications will
be shown first.")
