Since the 6.8.0 update whenever I play Dota 2 and alt+tab out, about 50% of the
time when I attempt to alt+tab back to the game window, the game window
completely freezes and becomes unresponsive and completely inaccessible.
A strange quirk of this bug is that the game cursor is still visible when the
frozen window is highlighted, but the content of the window is either
completely frozen yet visible, or completely invisible.
The game has to be manually killed (either via Steam or using process kill
tools) and cannot be closed using Plasma (i.e. right clicking on the task
manager and choosing close).
I have posted about this issue on the Cachy OS discord and have found at least
2 other users having the exact same issue - also in other game titles.
DESCRIPTION
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Play Dota 2 or Deadlock on Steam (2 titles I have personally confirmed so
far)
2. While game is running, alt+tab out to the desktop or another window. Alt+tab
back to the game window. Repeat this step several times (it seems to be a dice
roll with fairly good odds) and eventually the game window will freeze and
become unresponsive.
