The ' dolphin --select ~/dolphintest/file1' opens dolphin the folder and and the file is selected. Observation: if the setting 'Show on start up: Folders, tabs, and windows state from last time then the command opens 2 tabs(in my case) the tab i had opened when Dolphin was closed and another tab with the correct folder open and the file selected. If the same setting forces Dolphin to a specific folder when opened. Then the command opens Dolphin without any extra tabs and again opens the right folder and has the file selected I don't consider the bug reproducible since the command in both settings opens the right folder and has the right file selected. Also the focus is in the wanted file. Can you still reproduce this with Dolphin 26.08.1 or later? If you can, please set this back to CONFIRMED adding more information in how to reproduce the bug.
