But also with a test `notify-send 'Hello world!' 'This is an example notification.'` Turning off Blur in Desktop Effects actually hides notifications entirely for me. Nothing pops up at all. With Blur on, a dismissed notification also leaves a smaller blank rectangle for a while (see attachment).
