[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- Confirming on a different configuration. This looks like a clear regression introduced in Plasma 6.8.1. Environment: - CachyOS, kernel 7.2.11-1-cachyos-bore-lto, Mesa 26.2.4 (unchanged since Oct 1) - Plasma 6.8.1-1.1 / KWin 6.8.1-1.1 (Wayland), Qt 6.12.0 - AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT (Navi 44, PCI 1002:7590), amdgpu - Displays: DP-2 1920x1080@120 (primary, gaming), HDMI-A-1 1366x768@60 - Game: THE FINALS (Steam/Proton, XWayland), borderless fullscreen 1920x1080, V-Sync off, in-game frame limit 120, VRR set to "Automatic" Symptoms with 6.8.1: - The in-game FPS counter reports 120/90/80, but motion looks like ~30 FPS. Frame pacing feels completely wrong (judder / duplicated frames), while the desktop compositor remains perfectly smooth. - Occasionally the display used by the game goes black for a fraction of a second. Audio keeps playing and the game keeps running; it recovers on its own. - Reproduced in two separate sessions of ~10 minutes each. Not the kernel or the driver: the same kernel 7.2.11, the same Mesa build and the same GPU firmware were in use before the update. The problem appeared with 6.8.1 and survived a reboot. Workaround: downgrading kwin and plasma-workspace to 6.8.0-1.1 fixes it immediately. Same game, same kernel, same settings: correct frame pacing and no black flash. Happy to attach kinfo output, "qdbus6 org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation" or KWin Debug Console data if that helps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
