Fingerprint enrollment dialog: right hand illustration cut off (Plasma 6.8.1,
Wayland, scale 100 %)
SUMMARY
In System Settings > Users > "Configure Fingerprint Authentication…", the "Set
up fingerprints" dialog is too narrow: the right-hand graphic (hand
illustration) is cut off at the dialog's right edge, so the right-hand fingers
cannot be picked visually. The dialog does not grow to fit its content.
Screenshot attached.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings > Users, select your user.
2. Click "Configure Fingerprint Authentication…", then add a fingerprint
("Fingerabdrücke einrichten" in German).
3. Look at the "pick a finger to enroll" page.
OBSERVED RESULT
Only the left hand and about a third of the right hand are visible; the rest is
clipped.
EXPECTED RESULT
Both hands are fully visible (dialog sized to its content or scrollable).
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Arch Linux (kernel 7.2.11)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.1 (Wayland)
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Display scale 100 %, German locale. Looks similar to bug 480147 ("Configure
Fingerprints" dialog is missized, fixed 2024) – possibly a regression.
