Michele <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #3 from Michele <[email protected]> --- I'm seeing the same regression, just in a different form: fullscreen and borderless games on my 280 Hz monitor. Setup: EndeavourOS, Wayland, Plasma 6.8.1 (kwin 6.8.1-2), Qt 6.12.0, Mesa 26.2.4, kernel 7.2.11. GPU is an RX 9070 XT. DP-1 is a Dell AW2725D at 2560x1440@280 Hz with HDR on and VRR off, and HDMI-A-1 is a 1080p@75 Hz AOC. After the 6.8.1 update, Warframe (Proton/XWayland) in fullscreen or borderless looks like slow motion even though the in-game counter shows 250+ FPS, and the mouse cursor lags too. It basically renders the game in a "slowmotion" view. What I found while trying to track it down: - the same game in a normal window (no borderless) is smooth. - alt-tabbing away from the game (while fullscreen) (keeps rendering no pause) is smooth right away. - disabling the 75 Hz monitor makes it smoother but still slowmo. - running the game inside gamescope is smooth, though with fewer FPS and more input latency (so better but not a fix) - a different kernel (zen, lts) and turning HDR off changed nothing, and it happened with Mesa 26.2.5 as well Downgrading all the Plasma packages (about 50 of them, kwin and plasma-desktop included) from 6.8.1 to 6.8.0 fixed it for me. I get around 400 FPS in fullscreen with both monitors on, and nothing else changed in the system. Happy to test patches, collect logs or give more info if that helps. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
