Initially, I could not get a recognition with CalDAV, so I tried CardDav, which found the server and account. The same server handles both address book and calendar, so I thought it must use the other protocol. Not so! I was successful on a different machine with the same OS/desktop, so went back to this once and retried. I finally found success!
